Stevie Nicks has been forced to postpone her upcoming show in Manchester, due to a leg injury.
The former Fleetwood Mac singer has been plagued with this injury, having already pulled the plug on last night’s show in Glasgow.
Despite this, Nicks did say that her scheduled BST Hyde Park on July 12 is to still go ahead, as things stand, adding that she had to cancel the other two shows as she needs to undergo a “minor surgical procedure”.
Nicks Cancels Shows
In a statement shared via social media, Stevie Nicks’ team have urged fans to “hold on to their tickets”, as rescheduled dates will be announced in due course.
The statement said: “Due to a recent leg injury requiring a minor surgical procedure that will need a few days of recovery time, Stevie Nicks’ scheduled performances in Glasgow Saturday 6 July and Manchester Tuesday 9 July have been postponed”.
“More information will be available at point of purchase, ticketholders are advised to hold on to their tickets as rescheduled dates will be announced soon. Stevie looks forward to seeing everyone at Hyde Park in London”, they added.
Nicks’ UK and European Tour has also seen her perform in Dublin’s 3Arena. She also has shows scheduled for Antwerp on July 16, and Amsterdam on July 19. More information on this here.
Last week, Stevie Nicks was also spotted dancing to Taylor Swift at the US popstar’s third and final record breaking show at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium last weekend.
Nicks was among the household names who attended the show, alongside US actress Julia Roberts.
“The reason I want to play this tonight is because a friend of mine is here who is watching the show and who has really been one of the reasons why I or any female artist gets to do what we get to do. She’s paved the way for us. And she’s mentored so many artists”, Swift said to the crowd.
Swift had also described Nicks as her “hero”. More on this from Nova here.
