Hollywood actor George Clooney has called on Joe Biden to withdraw from his bid to run for a second term as US President.
Mr Clooney who is a ardent Democrat donor, has shared his concerns about Biden's credibility in an op-ed published via the New York Times.
Joe Biden has faced huge backlash following his performance in the presidential debate with Donald Trump.
The President also recently appeared to mix up the names of Vice President Kamala Harris and rival Donald Trump.
He also appeared to mix up Ukrainian president Voldomyr Zelensky with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the NATO summit in Washington.
In an op-ed published to the New York Times which was titled: 'I Love Joe Biden. But We Need a New Nominee,' George Clooney called for his "friend" Joe Biden to withdraw from the race for the White House.
"It's devastating to say it, but the Joe Biden I was with three weeks ago at the fundraiser was not the Joe 'big f***ing deal' Biden of 2010. He wasn't even the Joe Biden of 2020", Clooney wrote.
"He was the same man we all witnessed at the debate. Was he tired? Yes. A cold? Maybe. But our party leaders need to stop telling us that 51 million people didn't see what we just saw".

Clooney also pointed to the scary prospect of a second term of Donald Trump as US President.
"We're all so terrified by the prospect of a second Trump term that we've opted to ignore every warning sign. The George Stephanopoulos interview only reinforced what we saw the week before", Clooney added.
"As Democrats, we collectively hold our breath or turn down the volume whenever we see the president, who we respect, walk off Air Force One or walk back to a mic to answer an unscripted question".
Clooney concluded this piece by calling Biden hero for defeating Trump in 2020, insisting that "He saved democracy in 2020. We need him to do it again in 2024".
