A loaded sawn-off shotgun has been seized by Gardaí on patrol in Dublin overnight.
Three people have been arrested.
Gardai on patrol in Crumlin spotted a car at 12:45 this morning, however when the occupants spotted it, they drove off.
The then stopped on Kilfenora Road in Kimmage and the three people inside were arrested.
Gardaí then discovered a loaded sawn-off shotgun inside the vehicle.
A woman and two men in their 20s and 30s were detained at the scene, while the gun and car were seized.
They are being held at Garda stations in Dublin and can be questioned for up to three days.
