‘Living In The Material World’, the solo album released by George Harrison in 1973, is to receive a 50th boxset reissue.
This was the fourth album released by the late musician as a solo artist, with the special reissue set to arrive on November 15 via Dark Horse Records/BMG.
The reissue will be available in three forms: the standard edition, deluxe edition and the super deluxe edition. This standard edition will be available in CD and LP formats, which will include a brand new mix by Grammy winning producer Paul Hicks.
It will also be available on digital and streaming platforms.
‘Sunshine Life For Me (Sail Away Raymond)’
The deluxe edition of this George Harrison album will be accessible in 2CD and 2LP formats, including 12 previously unheard and unreleased early recordings. It was also confirmed that the super-deluxe edition will come in 2CDs, and 2LPs.
This release will also come with sleeve notes of 60 pages, photography, and artwork from the George Harrison’s archive. A 7″ single of the previously unheard of ‘Sunshine Life For Me (Sail Away Raymond)’ featuring Garth Hudson, Robbie Robertson, Levon Helm, and Rick Danko, alongside Ringo Starr, is also included.

“Share George’s wish”
This reissue boxset has been approved and overseen by George Harrison’s widow Olivia and their son Dhani, with Olivia releasing the following statement.
“I hope you revisit ‘Living in the Material World’ or discover it for the first time, and as you listen, share George’s wish for himself and mankind… Give me Love. Give me Peace on Earth”, she said.
Her son Dhani, also added: “Finally, we are overjoyed to present to you the 50th anniversary package of George Harrison’s ‘Living in the Material World’. For those of you who are just discovering this album; This record was released in service and with deep love for all our Brothers and Sisters around the world who populate this dualistic system we live in called Earth. Peace be upon all sentient beings”.
