The Cure have shared their new single, A Fragile Thing, from their forthcoming album, Songs of a Lost World.

The track which you can check out below, follows on from the band’s release, Alone, with Songs of a Lost World arriving on November 1.

Last month, The Cure had shared a snipped of Alone, with fans signing up to their website and WhatsApp community with a message send out on September 20.

“Want to hear ‘Alone’?”, the message read. It was sent with the option to click ‘Yes’ or ‘No’.

For fans who chose ‘Yes’, they received a 12 second audio clip, with a message saying that they could “discover more at songsofalost.world”.

New Cure Album To Look At “the futile regret”

Ahead of the album’s release, The Cure frontman Robert Smith also had this to say.

“A Fragile Thing is driven by the difficulties we face in choosing between mutually exclusive needs and how we deal with the futile regret that can follow these choices, however sure we are that the right choices have been made. It can often be very hard to be the person that you really need to be”, the musician explained.

The Cure had also been previewing A Fragile Thing at recent live shows, having debuted it in November 2022.

In July last year, it also emerged that The Cure broke several touring records, despite calls from Smith to lower ticket prices.

The band managed to gross $37.5 million from their Shows Of A Lost World tour. They also sold more than 547,000 tickets.
