Oasis have confirmed their support acts ahead for their shows in Ireland and the UK next year.
The band are to perform two shows at Dublin’s Croke Park on August 16 and 17 as part of this reunion tour.
Announcing these shows, the band said: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised”.
Richard Ashcroft To Support Oasis
According to reports, Oasis are to be supported singer/songwriter Richard Ashcroft and Indie rock band Cast.
Several media outlets including The Independent in London, have said that sources close to Oasis have said that Cast and, Richard Ashcroft, are to open on all of the band’s UK and Ireland shows next year.
Ashcroft who is the former frontman of The Verve, is also a long-time friend of Noel and Liam Gallagher. Cast also opened for Liam Gallagher on his recent Definitely Maybe 30th Anniversary Tour.
Speaking recently, Graham Coxon, co founder of Oasis’ Britpop rivals Blur, has said that their upcoming reunion is “good for them and it’s good for the fans”. More on this here.
