The League of Ireland season, just finished has been one to forget for Bohemian FC.

An 8th place finish, giving the spend on players, was certainly not where the club expected to be.

However matters off the pitch are about to get even better for the North Dublin side.

The long awaited redevelopment of Dalymount Park is set to progress, as news of Government funding emerged.

Through the large scale sports infrastructure grant, the club are to have a 25 million euro cash injection to get the build underway.

The redevelopment is also a partnership with Dublin City Council, who are also funding the project.

The brand new UEFA category stadium will be an eight-thousand seater, with the stadium configuration changing, with the pitch turning.

The new Dalymount Park, which is a decade in the pipeline, with many false dawns, is also set to have community spaces, it will be a municipal stadium.

Bohs look set to remain in Dalymount for the 2025 season, with building estimated to begin in 2026.

The club estimate moving back into the ground in 2028, with a search underway for a temporary home.

Also benefiting from the local sports infrastructure, are Shamrock Rovers, who are to get a floodlight upgrade.

Morton Stadium in Santry will have a seven million euro injection, for a new indoor facility.
