One lucky Dubliner has woken up a millionaire this morning after scooping a huge Euromillions prize.
The Dublin player was one of two to scoop a staggering €1 million in Friday’s special Euromillions raffle. The other lucky winner was in Kerry while another player in Wexford landed €500,000 in the Euromillions Plus.
The National Lottery has confirmed that both €1 million prizes were sold in retail stores and confirmed it will reveal their locations in the coming days.
Lotto chiefs also revealed that an online player from Kildare had won €1 million in Friday’s Daily Millions 2pm draw. The winning numbers in yesterday’s Daily Million draw were 1, 2, 5, 16, 29, 31 and the bonus was 23.
National Lottery spokeswoman, Emma Monaghan, has urged all players to check their tickets. She said: “What an amazing result last night for our Irish EuroMillions players. Among the 100 guaranteed prizes of €1 million throughout the entire EuroMillions community, players in Ireland managed to win not one, but two of the €1 million prizes up for grabs.
“Today, we are urging all our players, especially those in Dublin, Kerry, Kildare and Wexford, who played in-store and online to check their tickets carefully. For any National Lottery prize over €1 million, we always ensure that we give the winners a few days to allow their life-changing win to sink in before we announce the exact winning location. We look forward to sharing the news of the big wins with the local retailers and I’m sure there will be plenty of celebrations when their wins are announced.”
