A plaque dedicated to singer Liam Gallagher’s almost-gig at Manchester’s Lidl has been reported missing, with a £500 reward for its return.
This plaque was produced after the former Oasis singer had joked that he would perform at Lidl if his show at Manchester’s Co-Op Live Arena was not “sorted” in time for his 30th anniversary tour of ‘Definitely Maybe’ this Summer.
The opening of the venue was marred with a series of technical issues, which led to several concerts being cancelled, including The Black Keys, Keane, Peter Kay to name a few.
When a fan asked him via X/Twitter what he would do if these issues were not resolved in time for his gig in June, Gallagher replied that he would “Gig in Lidl’.

Thankfully, these issues were resolved and Gallagher was able to perform at the Co-Op Live Arena as planned.
However, a plaque was later instilled at Lidl’s Newton Health store in Manchester, marking the time that Liam Gallagher “almost” performed there.
Now, the plaque has seemingly been stolen, with Lidl issuing a plea for it to be returned “in time for Christmas”.
They also announced that they have put up a £500 to spend in its store in exchange for its safe return.

Elsewhere, Liam Gallagher also fired back at Sex Pistols’ Glen Matlock, who called Oasis “boring”.
Hitting back, Gallagher wrote: “F**k him. Sid was the Pistols,” referring to Sid Vicious, who replaced Matlock in 1977.
