Robert Smith has said that he is considering releasing a Christmas single for The Cure.
The band's lead singer has said that he has written a "really catchy pop sing", adding that he is unsure about the best way to release it.
'Songs Of A Lost World' were released by The Cure back in November, and was performed by Smith and co at London's Troxy, where they also treated fans to live covers of “Plainsong,” “Pictures of You,” Lovesong,” “Fascination Street,” “Just Like Heaven,” and “Disintegration".

In a recent interview, Robert Smith has said that he is considering adding some festive lyrics to this new track, and hopes it will become a festive hit this holiday season.
"I always just want an emotional response from what I write", Smith said during a special track-by-track of The Cure's latest album, 'Songs of a Lost World'.
He continued: "Unless I think. 'This is a catchy idea', but those days have kind of gone a little bit".
"Although I have written a really catchy pop song! I'm struggling to figure out how I'm gonna release it. Having been up in town all day, the amount of times I've heard [Wham!'s] 'Last Christmas'. I think I just need to stick some Christmas words on it and get it out there!".
Robert Smith also revealed earlier this that The Cure are to tour again next year.
“We’ll start up again next year,” stated Smith. “Seriously, I have to finish the second album. We were going to play festivals next year, but then I decided that we weren’t going to play anything next summer. The next time we go out on stage will be autumn next year”.
He also added that the band have several more albums to release.
