Bruce Springsteen has announced plans to release a major box set featuring 82 previously unheard tracks.

The singer is to release Tracks II: The Lost Albums, which will include as many as seven, heard Sprinsteen albums, which were made between 1983 and 2018. These albums feature 74 previously unheard songs.

This box set will be available in limited-edition nine LP and seven-CD formats, with each record containing original packaging. It will also contain a 100-page cloth-bound, hardcover book featuring liner notes on each lost album from essayist Erik Flannigan, as well as rare archival photos, and a personal introduction on the project scribed by Springsteen.

"hope you enjoy them"

“The Lost Albums were full records, some of them even to the point of being mixed and not released,” Springsteen said of this box set. “I’ve played this music to myself and often close friends for years now. I’m glad you’ll get a chance to finally hear them. I hope you enjoy them".

This collection will include the lo-fi La Garage Sessions '83, which have been called “a crucial link between Nebraska and Born In The USA".
Springsteen said: “The ability to record at home whenever I wanted allowed me to go into a wide variety of different musical directions".
The collection will arrive via Columbia Records on June 27.See the trailer here. Pre order via this link here.
Last month Bruce Springteen led a long list of A list stars who gathered at the famous Carnegie Hall, paying tribute to Patti Smith. More on this from Nova here.
