Over the Bank Holiday Weekend, we counted down to The Great Rock & Roll Resurrection on Radio Nova, as voted for by You, the listeners.

This weekend saw you text and vote in your droves, with some excellent suggestions sent in. Thanks to everyone who voted!

According to you guys, the greatest song from an artist who is sadly no longer with us, is Bohemian Rhapsody, from Queen, fronted by the late lead singer, Freddie Mercury.

The track, which was written by Mercury, featured on Queen's 1975 album, A Night At The Opera, having been first released as a single in October that same year.

Much like Mercury, Bohemian Rhapsody has certainly left its mark on the music world, going on to be inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2004, with Mercury's incredible vocal exploits seeing him named as the best in rock history by Rolling Stone magazine.

The song certainly enjoyed a bounce, following the success of the Mercury biopic of the same name, which was directed by Bryan Singer and Dextor Fletcher, and starred Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury. The film became the highest grossing music biopic in history, within 5 weeks of its release in 2018.

In 2018, Bohemian Rhapsody was also named the most streamed song of the 20th century, having been streamed more than 1.6 billion times at the point.

Here's another chance to check it out below!
