The Cure are giving their fans an early Christmas present, the band have announced details of two winter concerts.
The shows will take place next month at London's Hammersmith Apollo venue.
The group are well known for their lengthy performances and the December gigs will reportedly be no different. The alternative rockers are promising a sprawling two and a half hour set for each concert.
The concerts take place on December 21st and 22nd. They will be supported over the two nights by English post-punk band Also The Tress.
The Cure posted the news on their official Facebook: “The band will be performing a 150 minute show playing songs drawn from their entire 37 year old catalogue including deep cuts, pop songs, fan favourites and surprises galore."
"Reprising the role they performed at the same venue 30 years ago each concert will also feature And Also The Trees as support These are 'Christmas Specials' not to be missed!"
Speaking to NME earlier this year, The Cure's frontman Robert Smith revealed that the group's next album will be a mix of brand new material and unused material from 2008's 4:13 Dream. Smith said that he wanted to release that album as a double, but it only came out as a single LP.
Smith said: "Honestly? I was so f**king angry that [the label] wouldn’t release a double album that I wouldn’t give them the other songs."
Tickets are available to purchase from 9am on Friday morning November 7th, with no more than four per person available.
