An all star cast has assembled to sing covers of some of Paul McCartney's most beloved tracks.
Musicians from Bob Dylan, Alice Cooper, The Cure, Brian Wilson, Roger Daltrey, and Willie Nelson have all taken part in the tribute album.
The record titled The Art Of McCartney, is available to stream now for free on YouTube.
The LP came about when music/film producer Ralph Sall ran into McCartney. Sall has worked on such films as 'Sahara', 'Addams Family Values' and 'Three Kings'. He was heavily involved in a tribute album to the Grateful Dead, and in the 1993 album, Common Thread: The Songs Of The Eagles, which had sold three million copies and led to the band reforming.
Having previously collaborated with McCartney on the soundtrack for the 2003 Michael Douglas comedy 'The In-Laws', Sall was eager to work with his idol again.
40 legendary acts take on classic tracks from throughout Macca's career - from The Beatles to Wings and his solo days. To add extra authenticity Paul volunteered the services of his own backing band for the album.
The tribute record is due for release in the next week, and is available to listen to on YouTube.
