The collaboration between Paul McCartney and Kanye West wasn’t an elaborate internet prank, the duo are set to release another song in the not to distant future.
Reports surfaced in August 2014, that the pair were going to record music together. The unlikely duo have become good friends over the years.
During a Twitter Q&A last October, The Beatles singer admitted to be being a rap fan. He revealed that his most recent purchases at the time were Jay Z and Kanye West.
The Sun newspaper, reported that a source had said: “Kanye and Paul have known each other for a long time but have become more friendly recently. There’s every chance they’ll head into the studio together.”
Some Beatles fans thought this was a joke, but it looks like it has become a reality. Kanye West released the track ‘Only One’ featuring Paul McCartney and another song also featuring Rihanna and rapper Ty Dolla $ign is on the way.
Speaking to Billboard, Ty Dolla $ign said, “Me, Rihanna, ‘Ye and Paul got a song about to drop as well… Yeah. It’s gonna drop soon. I heard they shot the video recently. I don’t know what the final title is, but I know it’s crazy so just be looking out for [it].”
He added, “I’m not sure which ones are gonna make the final [cut], but there’s a couple for sure. I don’t want to talk about his album, I want him to present it how he wants to present it. I wouldn’t want nobody talking about my shit either, so I’ma respect that.”
However, there were some music fans out there that had never heard of Paul McCartney before and they tweeted about the ‘new’ musician.
