Blur have released a video for their new single 'Ong Ong' which sees the band dress up as ice creams cones and lobsters. The video is directed by British-born Chinese director Tony Hung and is said to depict a video game inspired by their new album The Magic Whip (hence the ice cream cones).
All the characters in the video are part of a fictional video game made for the video. The video actually has gameplay , with a small yellow ball bouncing around like Mario with the lyrics appearing on screen. It's actually quite a clever video with the ball moving with the music, jumping from lyric to lyric.
Eventually the band appear near the end of the video, dressed in a array of different outfits. The characters are as follows: Frontman Damon Albarn as Mr Cream, the ice cream cone depicted on their new album cover, while Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree portray Mr Brown, Mr Red and Mr Black respectively.
