The Libertines have released the title track from their new album which comes out next month. 'Anthems For Doomed Youth' off the album of the same name is now available to stream online.
This follows on from the release of 'Glasgow Coma Scale Blues' which they revealed on Friday. The album Anthems For Doomed Youth will release on September 11th and it is the band's first album in 11 years. The record was pushed back a week from its original date and it follows the group's 2004 self-titled album and 2002 debut Up The Bracket.
Speaking with NME recently, the band said that didn't want to "sound like were back in 2004". Libertines Gary Powell drummer also said "I would have been really, really pissed off if we'd come back with a new album full of old stuff."
They said that they experimented with synths on the new album which was new for the band. They reassured everyone however that it's the same band that you know and love.
