The music world was shocked to hear of the passing of Prince yesterday at age 57. Some of the biggest names in the industry have paid their respects, including Paul McCartney & Mick Jagger.
Prince was found dead by police at his Paisley Park home yesterday afternoon, but as of yet no cause of death has been stated. The post-mortem will take place later on today to find out the cause.
Since the news of his passing Paul McCartney and Mick Jagger were just some of those who took to social media to pay their respects to an artist that really broke boundaries. McCartney said “God bless this creative giant. Thanks Prince. Love X Paul.”

Jagger posted a series of tweets first saying : “I am so saddened to hear of Prince’s passing. Prince was a revolutionary artist, a wonderful musician and composer. 1/3.”

He also said “Prince was an original lyricist and a startling guitar player. His talent was limitless. 2/3,” adding that “Prince was one of the most unique and exciting artists of the last 30 years. 3/3.”

Ronnie Wood and Ringo Starr also paid their respects to Prince via social media, with Wood posting a picture with the man himself as they performed together onstage.
