What Two Cult Legend Bands Are Teaming Up For A Concert In Dublin?!

Great news of a Tuesday for classic rock music fans! Steely Dan & The Doobie Brothers are set to hit our shores this autumn.

“One night … one ticket … two legendary bands”

The two legendary bands are playing Dublin’s 3 Arena this October 28th with BluesFest Dublin 2017.

Steely Dan enjoyed critical and commercial success starting from the early 1970s until breaking up in 1981. The group toured from 1972 to 1974 before retiring from live performances, becoming a studio-only band. Founded by core members Walter Becker (guitars, backing vocals) and Donald Fagen (keyboards, lead vocals) in 1972, the band Recorded with a revolving cast of session musicians.

After the group parted ways in 1981, Becker and Fagen were less active throughout most of the next decade, though a cult following remained devoted to the group. Since reuniting in 1993 Steely Dan has released two albums of new material, the first of which, Two Against Nature, earned a Grammy Award for Album of the Year. They have sold more than 40 million albums worldwide and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in March 2001.

Similarly, The Doobie Brothers enjoyed their biggest success in the 1970s. The American rock band from San Jose California has sold more than 40 million albums worldwide throughout its career. The band has been active for five decades, with their biggest success occurring in the 1970s. They were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2004.
