David Gilmour is about to hit the road in support of his newest (and number one charting record) 'Luck And Strange'
David will play in Rome, London, New York and LA between this week and early November.
However, on the weekend David and his band played two dress rehearsal shows in Brighton and let 1500 people in for both performances.
I was one of the lucky ones that got in the room and for that I will be eternally grateful to Sony Music Ireland.
To watch the technical details being worked out and hear those iconic Pink Floyd tracks alongside great new great songs fill that room in Brighton was a very special treat.
David has gone with a brand new band for this record and tour and while some Floyd tracks have soured on him over the years, there is still enough in this new show to scratch that Pink Floyd itch.
I can't help but feel this show and tour is a going to be a launch pad for David's daughter Romany as she features strongly and is outstanding. I suspect her own album will follow the tour.
