There has been strong condemnation of threatening graffiti in Dublin targeting the Taoiseach bright and early in the new year.
Dublin City Council has been asked to remove the message, targeting Leo Varadkar, on a wall opposite Goldenbridge Luas stop in Dublin 8 at the old Blackhorse pub site.
The particularly dopey message states ‘kill Leo Veradkar, (sic) he sold out the Irish”. The inarticulate message remained visible on Wednesday afternoon.
Local councillor Daithi Doolan says: "I have contacted Dublin City Council asking that this graffiti is removed.
"This graffiti does none of that and does not represent the good people of Drimnagh and Inchicore."
I have contacted @dubcl asking that this graffiti is removed.
Regardless of deep differences with Leo Vradkar & Fine Gael I hope this is removed as soon as possible. This offensive and threatening graffiti offers nothing to our community pic.twitter.com/PnapS42MaY— Cllr. Daithí Doolan (@DaithiDoolan) January 3, 2024
