Alanis Morissette Makes Shocking Discovery In New TV Series
Back in January, Alanis Morisette discovered that her great-uncles died during the Holocaust. She made this discovery following her appearance on PBS show, Finding Your Roots.
The show saw Morissette appear as a guest, where she discovered that her great-uncles Sandor and Gyorgy Feuersteun, had died during the historic tragedy.
According to reports, the pair were sent to “work camps” to work in the Russian Military during World War II, before dying in slave labour camps in Russia.
‘Ironic’ singer Alanis Morissette had previously been aware that her grandfather, Imre Feuerstein, was a Holocaust survivor. He was also of Hungarian and Jewish descent.
“In each episode, celebrities are presented with a “book of life” that is compiled with information researched by professional genealogists that allows them to view their ancestral histories, learn about familial connections and discover secrets about their lineage”, the synopsis read.
