A 29-year-old man has been charged with causing criminal damage at Dublin Airport yesterday. Lukas Kaunietis of no fixed abode was arrested after an incident in Terminal One after missing his flight.

Online videos of an incident show a shirtless man causing damage at Gate 107 in the terminal building. He was arrested by Gardai after Airport police responded to an incident at around 7:20am on St Patrick's Day.

Kaunietis appeared before Dublin District Court yesterday where he was charged with causing criminal damage at the Tap and Brew bar and at Gate 107. He was also charged with using threatening and abusive language and/or behaviour.

He was remanded in custody to appear again before Cloverhill District Court on Friday. The passenger who had reportedly missed his flight – and who may have been intoxicated on St. Patrick’s Day – went on a rampage in Dublin airport terminal 1 yesterday.

The topless man, with face partially obscured, went about smashing structures and hurling objects around the terminal.

Ryanair says it's renewing its call for a 'two-drink limit' at Dublin Airport following the incident during which a departure gate was damaged in Terminal One yesterday morning.

Ryanair’s CEO wants passengers limited to two drinks at the airport.

Airport Police took the man into custody, charged him, and he’s scheduled to appear at the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin
