Anita Dobson has offered a fresh update regarding the health of her husband Brian May, after he recently suffered a stroke.
The Queen guitarist was rushed to hospital last month after suffering a “minor stroke”, but insisted that he was on the road to recovery.
Calling it “a little scary”, May said that the stroke came “all of a sudden, out of the blue”, leaving him without any control over his arms.
May was also quick to assure fans that he was doing “ok”, adding: “The good news is that I can play guitar after the events of the last few days”.
“He’s doing great”
Following this, Brian May’s wife Anita Dobson has shared a new update regarding her husband’s welfare.
“He’s been told to rest. It’s hard to keep him resting, but he needs to, otherwise he won’t get well”, Dobson told The Sun’s Bizarre column. “He’s doing great – he’s on the road, he’s doing really, really well. We’re very pleased”.
Former EastEnders star Dobson also stated that she was “completely confident” that May would “make a full recovery”.
She added: “You have to take things slowly, chill a bit. He’s not that kind of animal! It’s good to keep a sense of humour”.
In a video which was also posted online, Brian May also revealed, “I’m OK and doing what I’m told, which is basically nothing. I’m grounded, I’m not allowed to go out, drive, get on a plane, I’m not allowed to raise the heart rate too high. But I am good”.

Last month, May also blasted the pro-hunting group The Countryside Alliance after they criticised his upcoming BBC documentary, Brian May: The Badger, The Farmers And Me.
This comes after the alliance’s chief executive Tim Bonner wrote to BBC boss Tim Davie, claiming that Brian May held “clearly partisan views”, adding that his documentary was “fundamentally incompatible with the BBC’s obligation to be impartial”.
