Much loved Hollywood actor Anthony Hopkins has become the latest celebrity to lose his home, as the wildfires continue to take hold in Los Angeles.
The Silence of the Lambs star has revealed that his home in the Pacific Palisades, was destroyed by the fires. Although thankfully, Hopkins was in the UK at the time, and did not have to evacuate.
Hopkins purchased this house in 2019, a year after his Malibu home had narrowly missed a wildfire in that area. The actor had previously lost his home in England due to a fire in 2000.
The actor is the latest celebrity to lose his home in the fire, including fellow actors Mark Hamill, and Eugene Levy among others. More on this from Nova here.
So far, more than 130,000 people have been forced to evacuate their homes, with ten people reported dead following the fires. These fires have become the most dangerous in the history of Los Angeles.
Further warnings of high winds that may fan these flames, have also been issued.
