The news comes via the bands website. They will play Castello Scaligero on Wednesday the 16th of July and then a headline show as part of the Pistoia Blues Festival on Thursday he 17th of July.
For their Irish fans there was some good news with the confirmation of the band to play Marlay Park this summer on July 12th.
The band will be supported by Jake Bugg, indie singer Miles Kane and Royal Blood.
The rock band’s fifth studio album AM was released in September 2013 and went straight to number one in Ireland, the UK and many more countries.
Their album AM was one of the fastest selling albums of 2013 and was nominated for the Mercury Prize.
The Arctic Monkeys are dominating the awards season after being nominated for ‘Best British Group’ & ‘Best Album of the Year’ at Brit Awards 2014.
They hold eight nominations in the upcoming NME Awards.
Support act Jake Bugg has now sold over a million records across his two albums in a year.
He was also nominated for two Brits, a Mercury Music Prize, An Ivor Norvello award and won ‘Best New Act’ at the Q awards.
He played over 200 shows worldwide with a highlight of opening the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury in front of more than 100,000 people.
The band is set to embark on a major US tour this month with all of the dates already sold out.
Tickets for their Irish gig went on sale Friday January 31 at 9am from Ticketmaster outlets nationwide and online costing €61.50.
