Aslan have announced a headline show for Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre for early next year.

The show will take place on Sunday 16 March 2025, with tickets going on sale this Friday (November 1) at 10am via Ticketmaster.

Aslan will be fronted by singer Lee Thompkins, having previously revealed that they would carry on, following the death of singer Christy Dignam last year.

Back in February, Aslan said: “After 40 years of playing with our front man Christy, we absolutely know it’s not the same and never will be but we want to continue playing our music and bringing our music to you”. More on this here.

“so excited”

Having surprised fans by joining Coldplay on stage at Croke Park earlier this year, Aslan also thanked their fans for their support during an understandably difficult time.

“We played our first ASLAN gig,  with Lee on vocals, at the end of March 2024. What a welcome you have given us. To see you all back in a live setting is such a joy for us, we will never take for granted the support you all have given us through the good and hard times”, they said.

The band continued: “In 2024, we played the Electric Picnic for the 1st time ever at a jam PACKED Salty Dog stage and this was one of the highlights so far. Then to head off to Australia for a sold out tour was another, only to have to come back earlier than planned as we were guests of COLDPLAY for 2 amazing gigs in Croke park to 82,000 people a night, yes that was most definitely another one of our highlights! We have been to the UK for some shows”.

They added: “At the moment, we are in the studio working on new material and we have our Christmas and New Year’s Eve gigs.

“2025….. we are so excited to announce, we will be playing the 3OLYMPIA on MARCH 16th! This will be such a special gig for us.”.
