New reports suggest that Axl Rose will be taking over lead vocal duties in AC/DC from Brian Johnson. A source claims that Rose will be replacing Johnson for the remainder of the band's tour.

AC/DC recently had to reschedule a number of shows due to Johnson being advised by doctors to "stop touring immediately or risk total hearing loss." The band released a statement shortly after the news saying that the remaining dates will be "made up later in the year, likely with a guest vocalist".

It appears that the guest vocalist could well be Guns N' Roses Axl Rose according to new reports. The news comes by way of Alternative Nation, who said that a radio DJ from Atlanta named Jason Bailey claimed that a "very very good source" informed him that Rose will replace Brian Johnson for the remainder of the tour.

On his radio show yesterday the DJ said "This is what I’m being told, Axl was meeting with AC/DC, because it’s all but a done deal that Axl will front AC/DC for the ten remaining shows. All ten, including a show in Atlanta."

He also revealed that "He [Brian Johnson] was supposed to retire after the last tour, so they wanted to continue going out on the road and continue making music, so if you can’t do it, we appreciate your services, but the show must go on."

As of now this is the only report which suggests that Axl Rose will replace Brian Johnson. It remains to be seen whether or not the band's rescheduled shows clash with the Guns N' Roses reunion tour.
