A Dublin salon owner has appeared in court after being charged for breaching Covid-19 legislation.
48 year old Christine McTiernan of Ashfield Rise, Balbriggan was arrested this morning at her business premises.
It’s alleged that C and N Beauty Rooms on Dublin Street in Balbriggan opened this morning.
Gardaí arrived to the premises and spoke to the salon owner for a time before she was arrested.
Ms. McTiernan appeared before Swords District Court this afternoon, charged under the health act for opening her business.
She was released on bail to appear before Balbriggan District Court on March 25th.
Gardaí said they were continuing to adopt the ‘Four Es‘ approach to policing public health regulations – “engage, explain, encourage, and as a last resort, enforce“.
