Blur's Alex James has called Oasis' upcoming reunion "wonderful", saying that it was "awful that most bands end up hating each other".
This comes after Oasis announced their long awaited reunion, with a string of tour dates taking place this year, including two shows at Dublin's Croke Park in August this year.
These shows will also see the band perform in the UK including Manchester's Heaton Park, Cardiff's Principality Stadium, Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium, and London's Wembley Stadium. More on this here.
Alex James' band Blur and Oasis shared an iconic Britpop rivalry during the 1990s, with each band constantly hellbent on outdoing each other in the charts.
However in a recent interview, James stated that he is thrilled that his former foes have mended fences and reunited for this tour.
“It was great for Blur and I’m delighted for the Gallaghers", he told The Sun. “From Blur’s point of view, huge parts of how I feel every day… the fact there was a reconciliation and we’re all on good terms again… because when something is such a big defining part of your life you don’t want to be exiled from it".
Ahead of these shows, Oasis confirmed their full line up back in March, which will include Paul Bonehead Arthurs, Andy Bell and Gem Archer alongside Noel and Liam Gallagher. More on this story from Nova here.

As for Alex James, the bassist had previously admitted that he thought the band would "never happen again" ahead of their comeback tour last year.
