Bob Dylan has set up a TikTok account, just days before it may be banned in the US.

Earlier this month, it was announced that the social media app was to cease operations in the US from January 19.

This would be a last resort if the Supreme Court are to decide to enforce laws forcing the Chinese-owned platform to sell to a third party and cut ties with their parent company ByteDance.

The measure had been introduced by outgoing US President Joe Biden, amid an ongoing dispute about claims that the company's ownership could allow the Chinese Government to be allowed access to date of millions of American users.

"Explore the world of Bob Dylan"

Since then, a video was posted under a verified account named Bob Dylan (@bobdylan).

This post included several video clips of a myriad of tracks from the music legend from different eras. Such tracks include ‘Like a Rolling Stone’, ‘Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door’, and ‘Hurricane’.

The caption of the post also read: “Explore the world of Bob Dylan, now on TikTok. #bobdylan".

Check out this video for yourselves here.

Last year, Bob Dylan also began to use X more regularly, posting birthday wishes, as well as general messages and announcements. See this account here.

Earlier this week, Neil Young admitted that he threw a young Bob Dylan off his touring bus for failing to recognise him.
