Hollywood actor Brad Pitt is to team up with Conclave director Edward Berger for a big screen adaption of Tim Winton's book, The Riders, according to reports.

Reports which were first mentioned by Deadline, have suggested that production for this movie is to begin early next year, filming "in multiple locations across Europe". One of the producers for this film is Brad Pitt's Plan B Entertainment, alongside Ridley Scott's company, Scott Free.

"The novel follows Fred Scully (Pitt), who, after travelling through Europe for two years, winds up in Ireland with his wife and daughter. And on a mystical whim of his wife Jennifer, they buy an old farmhouse that stands in the shadow of a castle", Deadline reported.

"While Scully spends weeks alone renovating the old house, Jennifer returns to Australia to liquidate their assets", they added. "When Scully arrives at Shannon Airport to pick up Jennifer and their seven-year-old daughter, Billie, it is Billie who emerges - alone".

"There is no note, no explanation, not so much as a word from Jennifer, and the shock has left Billie speechless. In that instant, Scully's life falls to pieces".

In the movie, Scully and Billie will travel through Europe, searching to Jennifer.

The Riders, which is an adaption of Australian author Winston's Booker-nominated novel, will also be written by David Kajganich.

Next month, a new F1 blockbuster starring Brad Pitt alongside Irish actor Kerry Condon, will be released. Check out the trailer for this film here.
