The countdown is on for this year’s Bray Air Display set to take place on the 3rd of August. Every year the seaside town hosts a spectacular family-friendly aerobatics show full of thrilling acts from around the world, inspiring the next generation of aviation enthusiasts.

The community-organised airshow is the leading tourism event in all of Wicklow and is estimated to contribute around €3.5 million to the local economy.

Previous performances have included the famous RAF Red Arrows, Italy’s Frecce Tricolori and the Breitling Wingwalkers.

The line-up this year includes the awe-inspiring Royal Jordanian Falcons, the AeroSpaceBatics Wingwalkers and Team Raven.

Attendees will also get to witness the fantastic talent we have from our own country with performances from our very own Irish Air Corps and Eddie Goggins, Ireland’s Flying Dentist.

The excitement won’t just be up in the sky as there is plenty to enjoy on the ground too. Visitors can revel in some thrills of their own at the Seafront Funfair in Bray. The Irish Defence Forces will also have a fantastic static display for aviation-fanatics to explore. For those a little braver, you can experience a breath-taking helicopter flight over Bray Head.

“We’re looking forward to another showcase of aviation excellence as part of the 17th annual Bray Air Display.” Bray Air Display Director Sé Pardy said. “It’s a unique opportunity to enjoy spectacular aerobatic performances—something the whole family can enjoy.”

Organisers are encouraging attendees to travel by public transport as traffic is certainly expected. A shuttle bus service is in place as well as the DART which runs from Connolly to Bray

All spectators driving to the event will have to pre-book their parking space online at the official event car parks before attending the airshow.

There will be no parking permitted from 7am and no vehicle access to the event site at Strand Road from 10am.
