Bruce Springsteen has dismissed rumours that he will be retiring anytime soon, or the idea that he will be planning any “farewell tour bulls***”.

Rumours had been spreading from earlier this year that Springsteen’s current tour could be his last.

However, the music legend performed at Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park last Friday (August 23), when he told his audience that he is not “goin” anywhere, adding that he is not planning for “no farewell tour bulls***”.

“We’ve been around for 50 fuckin’ years, and we ain’t quitting! We ain’t doing no farewell tour bull****! Jesus Christ! No farewell tour for the E Street Band!”, Springsteen told the crowd.

He added: “Farewell to what? A thousand people screaming your name? Get the hell out. I ain’t going anywhere!”.

Earlier this Summer, it was announced that a brand new vinyl edition of Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Born In The USA’ album would be released.

This album was launched back in June, to mark its 40th anniversary.

“Released on June 4, 1984, Born In The USA had an unprecedented seven top 10 singles, sold over 20 million copies to date and captured the pop culture zeitgeist with once-in-a-generation impact”, Sony Music said in a statement.

“Springsteen And The E Street Band’s accompanying Born In The USA tour included 156 sold-out performances across the globe, while tracks like Dancing In The Dark, No Surrender and Glory Days remain staples of their live show to this day”.
