Following a six month hiatus, Bruce Springsteen is to resume his tour with a show in Phoenix today (March 19).
The Boss has been taken some time out, having cancelled several shows from this tour back in September, on health grounds.
Last year, Springsteen was forced to cancel all remaining tour dates for 2023, having suffered with a "peptic ulcer".
“Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band have postponed all performances currently scheduled for September 2023, beginning with tomorrow’s (September 8) show scheduled for the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, N.Y”, he said in a statement at the time.
In a further update weeks later, Springsteen added, “Let me take a moment and thank my fans affected by our postponed shows for their understanding”.
“I am deeply sorry but this belly thing, despite my ability to laugh at it, has been a monster,” the singer added. On the peptic ulcer, he said, “is still rocking my internal world”. More here.
However in a post shared via Instagram, Springsteen announced his imminent return to the stage.
Alongside a post featuring a collection of rehearsal pictures, Springsteen added the caption, “Countdown till showtime in Phoenix".
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street also announced a run of shows, which will see them stop off in Ireland later this year. See the dates and more here.
A few weeks ago, the 'Dancing In The Dark' singer also announced plans to release a new Greatest Hits album, arriving next month. More on this here.
