PJ Gallagher and Jim McCabe have revealed that Guinness will produce over 5 million extra pints at St. James’ Gate every week ahead of the highly anticipated re-opening of pubs and bars across the Republic of Ireland.
With wet pubs and bars reopening on June 7 after a challenging 17 months, the brewer is also getting the dedicated Guinness Quality Teams back on the road, calling to more than 8,000 pubs across the country and cleaning more than 50,000 beer lines.

Europe’s toughest Covid-19 restrictions resulted in many of Ireland’s pubs closing their doors back in March 2020. Last June, to support the pubs to emerge stronger from the pandemic, Guinness announced a €14 million fund called 'Raising the Bar'.
