It was a busy night for emergency services last night as people went celebrating Halloween.
Dublin Fire Brigade’s live map had over 50 incidents crews were responding to from Balbriggan to Bray.
They fought a blaze at a derelict house in Tallaght, as well as trees on fire close to the entrance to the Port Tunnel.
And that’s it for our live map for tonight.

They received 494 fire calls of which 421 were Halloween related, the total number of emergency ambulance calls received was 435.
This year saw an increase in both fire and EMS calls compared to recent downward trends.
Local authorities removed over 500 tons of bonfire materials in the run up to Halloween and this helped prevent further fires and environmental damage.
Outside of Halloween related calls, Firefighter/Paramedics attended several incidents including fires in apartments and houses as well road traffic collisions. Our paramedics responded to hand and facial injuries from fireworks across the city.
Some of our fire and ambulance crews experienced anti-social behaviour in the course of their duties, but thankfully no injuries were reported.
Calls received in recent years are below:
2023
244 fire calls – 185 Halloween related
385 EMS calls
2022
234 fire calls – 169 Halloween related
357 EMS calls
