Buzzcocks Back Campaign To Get To Number 1 Following Pete Shelley's Death

The remaining members of the Buzzcocks have backed a campaign to get their punk pop hit ‘Ever Fallen in Love (With Someone You Shouldn’t’ve)’ to Number One following the sad passing of lead singer Pete Shelley.

The NME reports that more than 2000 people have gotten behind the campaign after Shelley suffered a fatal heart attack in his place of residence in Estonia last week.

In a statement on on the petition on Change.org. fans wrote,

“40 years on from the incredible track being released, the band deserves its first number one, plus it would be a brilliant tribute to Pete Shelley. The charts run from Friday to Friday, so get downloading the iconic song below and help us salute Pete!”

According to the petition The punk legends could bag number one on Friday 14th of December if the campaign picks up...they ask, "please share this with all your friends.”
