The Pretenders have released the latest single 'A Love', from their album 'Relentless'.
The track which you can check out below, is the third song released by The Pretenders, following 'I Think About You Daily', and 'Let The Sun Come In'.
Arriving on September 15, 'Relentless' will be produced by David Wrench, along with contributions from Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl, and Radiohead's Johnny Greenwood.
The Pretenders also rocked the Glastonbury stage with a surprise set earlier this Summer. More on that here.
Speaking the band's latest tune, The Pretenders' lead singer Chrissie Hynde has also explained how that 'A Love' is a throwback to some of the band's classic tracks in a press release.
“I suppose ‘A Love’ is the most traditionally Pretenders-sounding song on the album, in the vein of ‘Kid’ or ‘Talk of the Town’ or any of the midtempo ones over the years", Hynde explained.
She also added, “I suppose ‘A Love’ is the most traditionally Pretenders-sounding song on the album, in the vein of ‘Kid’ or ‘Talk of the Town’ or any of the midtempo ones over the years".
Speaking about the title of the band's forthcoming album, Hynde said that she loves the different meanings the word 'Relentless' can take.
“I enjoy seeing the various meanings and origins of a word", she also stated. “And I liked the definition: ‘Showing no abatement of intensity.’ It’s the life of the artist. You never retire. You become relentless".
Elsewhere, the Pretenders will also perform a range of shows with Guns N'Roses next month, along with some headlining shows in the US.
