An overhaul of the former Clerys site on Dublin’s O’Connell Street looks to be a step closer. That’s as a fresh application has been lodged.
Initial plans to redevelop the site were postponed, after concerns were raised about its demolition. 460 workers had lost their jobs when the store shut in 2015.
Now however, a fresh application has been put forward, and if granted, will see the iconic store revamped into a city-centre hotspot.
Plans include new cafes, bars, offices and shops, along with a terraced restaurant and rooftop seating area with city views.
