A number of new documents from Frances Bean Cobain’s ex-husband, Isaiah Silva’s lawsuit have surfaced. The lawsuit concerns allegations that Courtney Love attempted to have Silva murdered in order to get Kurt Cobain’s MTV Unplugged guitar back. The documents below were filed on September 4th by Courtney’s lawyer oddly requesting a jury trial.
This means Love doesn’t wish to participate in mediation sessions or settlement conferences. Her legal representation expects the trial to last 7-10 days and they have notified they plan on filing a demurrer. That’s an objection granting the factual basis of an opponent's point but dismissing it as irrelevant or invalid. They have also filed a motion to strike the complaint, and motion for summary judgment.
The trial date has to be set in the next 12 months. A hearing was held earlier this month. You can view the documents below from a Kurt Cobain fan account on Twitter.
