In a recent interview with GQ, Courtney Love talked about her turbulent friendship with Foo Fighters singer Dave Grohl. The ex-Nirvana drummer met Love when she began dating Kurt Cobain. Love described what it was like hanging out with Dave when he was younger.

'I liked Dave very much. He was a boundless bundle of energy, not only a great talent but great fun. He cut a swathe through the women of the northwest, which I found amusing; he didn’t care if they were educated lefty feminists. Kurt compared his energy to a puppy. Dave made Kurt very happy. He was always fast with a joke that could pull Kurt out of a funk, with junk food and girl talk.'

There were Rumours for years that Grohl left the band just before Cobain’s suicide. It’s true Cobain began to withdraw due to drug taking, the challenges of fame and various legal problems. Love and Dave Grohl's relationship is more stable and friendly these days. It's no secret that the pair haven’t always seen eye to eye since Nirvana broke up.

The two lead singers became tangled up in a long legal battle. The disagreement cost both sides a serious amount of cash, concerning the control and rights of the band’s back catalogue and finances. Dave Grohl and Courtney Love settled their differences at the 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and have been on good terms for the last four years.

Meanwhile, Courtney Love and her daughter  Frances Bean Cobain have won their legal battle to deny the release of Kurt Cobain’s death photos. Journalist, Richard Lee, is a firm believer that Cobain was murdered, and he attempted to get access to the pictures under the Washington State’s Public Records Act.

Lee sued the city of Seattle including its police department in 2014. He's been labeled by the courts as 'a conspiracy theorist who believes that Mr. Cobain was murdered'. He also hosts a public access TV show called 'Now See It Person to Person: Kurt Cobain Was Murdered'.
