A 38-year-old man has been charged with five firearm offences after shots were fired from a house in Blanchardstown on Tuesday night.
Daniel Goulding of Whitechapel Grove, Blanchardstown, appeared in court this morning charged with unlawful possession of two sub-machine guns, a pistol, a large amount of ammunition and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
Two Gardaí who were shot in the incident underwent surgery yesterday to remove bullet fragments from their feet.
The court was told that the advice of the DPP is being sought and further more serious charges may be brought.
Mr Goulding was remanded in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court next Friday.
