Reviews have come in thick and fast, with many dubbing the series less 'hard-hitting' than the first, but if the trailer is anything to go by we're not so sure we can agree.
The second series is worth a whopping £100M as Claire Foy continues her role as Queen Elizabeth II amid a welcome reception.
The latest installment covers more tumultuous times, with many historical issues coming to the fore, as Foy splits herself in two, giving a ruthless take on her character's misery and frustration.
We have chills from the coldness of this series - but we're far too excited for it's return.
