Damon Albarn will be performing next week at a concert in London and one of his old friends will be joining him on stage.

The frontman will be accompanied by his Blur bandmate Graham Coxon at his gig at London's Royal Albert Hall.

Albarn's last performance was at the Mercury Music award show last month, where he missed out on winning the top prize.

He will be performing with his touring band The Heavy Seas, as well as a string quartet and a gospel choir. It's the singer's first time headlining the historic London venue.

Also performing on the night will be special guests the classic hip-hop trio De La Soul and Chicagoan hip-hop recording artist Vic Mensa.

The last time Albarn and Coxon performed together was the Latitude summer festival, the pair played 'Tender' on stage.

Speaking to the Sydney Morning Herald, the Blur singer revealed that he had fully written an album for one of his side projects, The Good, The Bad and The Queen. He also stated that he is eager to bring the Gorillaz band and record new material.

Damon Albarn's Royal Albert Hall dates are below. For more information visit here.

The concert takes place on November 15th and there are a limited number of tickets still available.
