The Kerry Independent TD Danny Healy-Rae is apparently unaware of a significant gathering in his own pub, that clearly seems to display a breach of covid-19 regulations following the release of a video, showing a boisterous group blowing off steam in the politician's public house in the Kingdom county's Kilgarvan.
The video circulating on social media was seemingly recorded from a series of Snapchat videos and images, that were apparently sent by fellow local representitive Maura Healy-Rae, the TD's daughter. Crucially it's unknown when the gathering was held.
It appears to show around twenty mainly young people inside the premises at the bar, which features counter service, which is of course prohibited under covid-19 regulations.
Various people are filmjed dancing and prancing inside the premises, all without masks. Under regulations, customers should wear a mask, other than when sitting at their table.
Deputy Healy-Rae yesterday claimed that he was not aware of a gathering that breached covid regulations in his bar and that he didn't have access yesterday to view the video.
