Dave Grohl have confirmed that he has become a father outside of his marriage to wife Jordan Blum.

The Foo Fighters frontman announced this news, but insists that he is "doing everything I can to regain the trust" of his family.

Grohl who shares three daughters with his wife, Violet, Harper, and Ophelia, revealed the news that he has fathered a baby girl to someone from outside his wedlock.

Dave Grohl Begs For "forgiveness"

Taking to Instagram, Dave Grohl released this statement, confirming this shock news.

“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her", he said.

“I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together".

Following this revelation, the musicians' daughters Violet and Harper have since deactivated their Instagram accounts.

Violet has become known for touring with her father's band Foo Fighters, including featuring on their 2023 track, 'Show Me' How from their album, 'But Here We Are'.

In September 2022, Violet Grohl delivered a live cover of  Leonard Cohen’s classic ‘Hallelujah’, in the second of two tribute concerts in honour of the late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins at LA's KIA Forum. Check that out here.

Last month, Foo Fighters also threatened legal action against US presidential candidate Donald Trump over use of their track 'My Hero' at political rallies.

This happened after Trump’s campaign used Foo Fighters’ hit ‘My Hero’, as he welcomed guest speaker Robert F Kennedy Jr to the stage at Glendale, Arizona on August 23.

“Foo Fighters were not asked permission, and if they were, they would not have granted it,” adding that “appropriate actions are being taken” and any royalties received would be donated to the Harris/Walz campaign”, the band said.
