Photos have surfaced of Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl on a film set. It’s been reported that the musician is shooting a movie about the his life.
The Foos lead singer was seen by a number people as he worked on the film project in Los Angeles. According to The Sydney Morning Herald, Dave’s mother, Virginia Hanlon Grohl confirmed that a film will document “his career – from Scream to Nirvana to Foo Fighters.”
One fan wrote on Twitter: “Went outside to investigate a film crew on campus only to discover that it was Dave Grohl from @foofighters who went to AHS and whose mother was an English teacher at AHS. What a treat! Go Atoms!!”

Very little information has been shared about the movie but Grohl’s mum seemed to suggest that it could feature his siblings and how they influenced the former Nirvan drummer’s musical taste. Grohl’s mother explained to The Sydney Morning Herald,
“She [Dave’s older sister, Lisa] was the one that introduced him to her musical tastes [punk rock] when she was a teenager and I was worried that she would feel left out, that her life hadn’t been quite so special,”
However, Virginia said that Grohl’s sister never wanted attention in that way,
“But she always said she would never want people to know her name. She didn’t like people coming up to her and saying: ‘Are you Dave’s sister? I, on the other hand, when I see a lady at the cabbage counter at the grocery store with a Foo Fighters T-shirt, I instantly introduce myself. I can’t help myself. So I think it can be hard for siblings, but from my experience, most of the families [of rock stars] are strong families.”
