Dave Grohl managed to open his own pub backstage at the London Stadium.

Foo Fighters lead singer Grohl, was performing a few shows with the band at West Ham FC's stadium this week.

The 'Times Like These' rockers were performing a string of shows in the UK as part of their tour which they first confirmed last year. More on this here.

"drank the bar dry"

Grohl ended these shows by inviting guests to his very own bar inside the dressing rooms, named The Duke of York.

Stars invited back for this session included Beatles icon Paul McCartney and U2 singer Bono. Those in attendance reportedly drank the pub "dry", staying into the early hours.

“Dave knows how to party and loves a drink-up. He opened his own pub for his VIPs – and they stayed up until 6am going at it", a source told The Sun newspaper.

“They drank the bar dry after their last show and it was light by the time everyone started getting cars home".

Dave Grohl v Taylor Swift

On that same day, Dave Grohl appeared to poke some fun at Taylor Swift, suggesting that US singer does not sing live.

Swift is currently performing at Wembley Stadium as part of her Eras Tour.

"We were joking about the Taylor Swift tour earlier. I know that she’s on her 'Eras Tour'. I’m telling you man; you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift", Grohl told the audience.

He added: "So we like to call our tour the ‘Errors Tour' because I feel like, we’ve had more than a few eras, and more than a few f****** errors as well. Just a couple. That’s because we actually play live. What?".

“I’m just saying, you guys like raw, live rock ‘n’ roll music, right? You came to the right f****** place".

As well as turning up for a Foos gig, Paul McCartney was also spotted at a Taylor Swift show at Wembley this week. More on this from Nova here.
