David Gilmour Announces Two Special Rehearsal Shows In Brighton

David Gilmour has announced two special rehearsal shows at the Brighton Centre for next weekend.

The former Pink Floyd guitarist will perform these two rehearsal gigs as a preview into his forthcoming live shows in Rome, Los Angeles, and New York. These shows in Brighton will take place in front of 1,500 people.

Gilmour’s shows will take place in Rome’s Circus Maximus on September 27, as well as LA and New York.

Tickets which cost £30, with links and codes being sent out by midday, September 16 and the first access to tickets starting at 3pm.

The musician will also perform a run of shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall as part of a residency next month, beginning on October 9. Find out more here.

These shows will also see Gilmour support his latest album, ‘Luck and Strange’, which he has compared to Pink Floyd’s ‘Dark Side Of The Moon’.

“It’s over 50 years now since ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’. My feeling is that this album is the best album I’ve made in all those years since 1973 when ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ came out”, he said.

David Gilmour Gives Shock Appearance At London Pub 

Earlier this week, David Gilmour delivered a surprise performance at an East Sussex Pub, alongside his daughter Romany.

This performance took place at the Neptune Live Music Bar, East Sussex, his first live performance since 2020.

Following his show, Gilmour said that he “very much enjoyed crashing” his daughter’s gig at the pub “after finishing tour rehearsals”.

This post also included a video, where Romany can be heard asking if her father would like to “come and upstage me”, before they performed Pink Floyd’s 1975 track ‘Wish You Were Here’ together. See this video here.
